Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field
  • 7+ years of relevant accounting or finance experience
  • Experience with Yardi preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail

General Responsibilities

  • Support foreign entity compliance with US GAAP.
  • Reconcile monthly inventories and materials analysis as directed.
  • Oversee the filing for the department, electronically and on paper.
  • Ensure all project costs (equipment, material, supplies, misc.) are processed.
  • Perform grant closeout functions, including reconciliations, financial status reports, final invoices, and final reporting.
  • Review unit entry and unit reconciliations as prepared by supporting staff.
  • Assist with the preparation of the company's annual projections and budgets.
  • Ensure proper payments to all contractors, subcontractors, designers, and major suppliers.
  • Produce statements and reports using a variety of sources.
  • Assist with PPM reports.
  • Serve as backup to approve expense transactions to ensure accuracy and complete journal entries.
  • Review and process project-related contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and other various agreements as required.
  • Complete other related duties and assist with special projects as needed.
  • Conform to company apparel standards and set a positive example for all associates.
  • Act as a point of contact for external auditors on any technical accounting matters.
  • Assist with other areas of accounting to ensure a timely month-end closing.
  • Assist in preparing and filing the Sales & Use Tax Reports.
  • Ensure cash receipts are posted to the correct invoice.
  • Responsible for being a subject matter expert on key GAAP and SEC accounting-related issues.
  • Assist with the time and effort reporting system and ensure it is complete and in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Review, code, and process general job cost invoices and vendor billings accurately and timely.
  • Work under direct supervision, completing assigned tasks in support of less complex projects.
  • Review projects for accurate revenue recognition and provide project analysis and recommendations based on findings.
  • Coordinate the 401K audit and Form 11-K filing with the SEC.
  • Responsible for Loan Draws processing, providing all necessary documentation, and clarifying any discrepancies during the review process. It includes the Hard cost verification according to contract values in the accounting system and any other relevant information from the AIA that may require regular tracking (Ex: Material Deposits, retention reconciliation, and change orders, among other elements of the G702-G703)
  • Prepare Payable Commitment reports according to the specific project needs (1. For Construction Projects – Loan Draws Disbursements are required within a specific timeframe, 2. For Projects in Design/Development stages – Prepare and distribute the Cash needs report for discussion with the teams, 3. For the Asset Management projects, prepare/discuss payment approval according to the payable aging reports (include the partners if it’s required).
  • Responsible for preparing Lien Releases according to the vendor's requirements (GC, Designers, Material suppliers, etc.). Obtain and save the executed forms before releasing payment.
  • Establish guidelines to save and track NTOs by Projects/Contractor/Subcontractors/Sub-Subcontractors/Material suppliers or any other Lienor according to Florida Lien Law.
  • Provide proof of payments where required by the lender.
